NOSFERATU: LETTERING DESIGN

 Since the first time I saw the typographic design of Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu, I felt compelled to create my own version. I have a deep emotional attachment to the fantastical vision of the vampire developed across different mediums, although I must admit I don’t resonate much with its more clichéd interpretations.

THANKS GAMES GROUND BERLIN

Big thanks to the GAMES GROUND team in Berlin for inviting me last week to talk about 'Storytelling as a Creative Force in Art Direction for UI.' I shared my approach to making concept-driven art decisions to create more impactful and tailored UI visuals.

 During the last 9 years I’ve poured a lot of love into the Diablo universe (mostly alone working from home).

Stepping for a moment outside my usual personal insecurities and shyness, I want to acknowledge that part of my work has helped shape the visual identity of how Diablo IV is presented to the world.
Some of my artwork has found its way across many different mediums: UI, internal team assets, books, t-shirts, coins, comics, packaging, fonts, symbols, ornaments, sigils, icons, campaigns, animatics, cinematics, VFX, and in-game elements—appearing anywhere Diablo’s dark aesthetic and visual identity come to life.
At the same time, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and external teams who contribute to bringing these visuals to life.
To say this simply: I’ve never given so much of myself to a single project. For me, it’s an honor to work on it, and to do so alongside so many talented individuals—from developers to the people supporting us from Management and Human Resources offices.
It’s been an incredible journey contributing to this universe.

 

Over the weekend, my project DIABLO: CELEBRATORY COINS was featured by Behance on its Illustrator platform: DIABLO-CELEBRATORY-COINS.

Behance highlights projects with outstanding execution and quality, so it is an honor to see my work recognized and selected once again.
